HE-R10 Planar Version- Stealth Magnets (open-box)

The HE-R10P is a specialist. At first, I wanted to send it straight back. It has a "horn-like" sound—meaning it’s a bit honky or blaring. Likely due to reflections inside the wooden cups? There are certainly much better headphones in the Hifiman lineup for general music listening. But with jazz, the situation flips completely. You feel like you’re sitting right there on stage with the musicians, with the instruments close to your ears. So, it became my jazz headphone. The HE-R10P sounds most like a good horn speaker. And that’s why it gets to stay. 😁

Very detailed headphose. They are in need of equaliser though. Burnt up my headphose amp whildt burning in these cans... now I´m in need of another headphone amplifier...

Très bel objet d’exception en pleine période de rodage par mes soins. Association esthétique des couleurs, qualité des matériaux et assemblage juste magnifiques. Je n’arrive pas encore à cerner toutes les performances sonores de casque alors qu’il est en rodage, mais j’aime déjà beaucoup le produit.

Incredible sound for closed headphones. I own 1000s2 and it’s very close to it with right cable.Default one is so poor in quality, that you must invest into a cable so keep in mind that otherwise you will have 10% of the usage from it.

Super neutral but vpleasant sounding, no harshness at all. Discovering the recording musically& performingwise at best! Greatest Headphone i
